I know this is only a small thing, but …
I was just watching an online episode of BBC Click as I’d missed the TV airing. In the Webscape section, a piece of background music appealed to me. In the ‘olden’ days (10 years ago), that would pretty much be that. Today, now, the CD from which that track is taken will be shortly winging its way towards my letterbox. By Googling a few phrases from the lyrics, I was able to get to a video of the artist performing the track, search for her in the Amazon store, choose the CD from which the music came, listen to the other tracks and decide I liked it and place the order … all in less than a couple of minutes. Heck, I could have even downloaded the mp3 of the album and been listening to it by now!
So now tell me the world’s not changing.
